2. The petitioner by invoking the jurisdiction of this Court seeking a direction upon the respondent authorities especially, Land Acquisition Officer, Madhubani to dispose of the Case No. 03 of 2006, which is pending since long.

3. Learned Advocate for the petitioner contended that the land of the petitioner was acquired during the construction of Barhai Tola Nahar. However, on account of a dispute with

Patna High Court CWJC No.10626 of 2024(2) dt.18-07-2024 2/2 regard to the ownership of the land, the matter has been referred to the Land Acquisition Officer, Madhubani. Despite the appearance of the petitioner in the aforesaid case, the same has not been disposed of till date and by this way, the petitioner has been deprived from his rightful claim of compensation.

4. Learned Advocate for the State is not in a position to apprise this Court as to whether the Case No. 03 of 2006 is disposed of or not.

5. Considering the aforesaid facts, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 5 to dispose of the Case No. 03 of 2006, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from today, if the matter is still pending. (Harish Kumar, J) shivank/- U
