The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Salkhua P.S. Case No.223 of 2014/G.R. No.2954 of 2014 registered under Sections 409 and 420/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, earlier, the prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail was rejected by this Court vide order dated 17.08.2017 passed in Criminal Misc. No.24412 of 2017 with a direction to the trial court to expedite and conclude the trial of the petitioner as early as possible by taking all effective steps. If the trial of the petitioner is not concluded within six months, the petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail but, in spite of passing over six
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.14834 of 2018(2) dt.21-03-2018 2/2 months, the trial of the petitioner has not been concluded as yet. The petitioner is in custody since 11.08.2016. Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-III, Saharsa, in connection with Salkhua P.S. Case No.223 of 2014/G.R. No.2954 of 2014. Out of the two sureties, one must be close relative of the petitioner.
