The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with Raniganj P.S. Case No.134 of 2019 for the offences under Section 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

Specific allegations have been levelled against some accused persons including the petitioner herein of firing from close range which ultimately killed the younger brother of the informant. So far as this petitioner is concerned, allegation is that he shot on the temporal region of the deceased by his country-made pistol.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in jail since 29.11.2019 and since Trial has still not commenced, he may be granted the privilege of bail.
