The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of her arrest in connection with Amba P.S. Case No. 77 of 2020 dated 09.09.2020 instituted for the offences under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.

From the prosecution report, it appears that 280 litres of liquor was recovered from a Baleno car which stands in the name of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the driver of the vehicle viz. Amarjeet Singh had taken the consent of the petitioner to take the vehicle to Aurangabad for his personal work. He has

The petitioner has got no concern with the liquor which has been seized.

It has further been submitted that the petitioner is a Teacher in a Government High School and belongs to a respectable family. Merely because she owns the vehicle from where the recovery has been made, she has been made accused in this case. Considering the aforenoted facts and taking into account the clean antecedent of the petitioner, she is directed to be released on bail, in the event of her arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, on her furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District Judge-VII-cum-Special Judge, Excise, Aurangabad in connection with Amba P.S. Case No. 77 of 2020, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
