The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered under Section 7 of Essential Commodities Act.

The allegation against the petitioner is of assisting the other accused for wrongful gain by lifting the rice, meant for Mid Day Meal.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. There is no allegation of tampering of witnesses alleged against the petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 15-05-2019. Charge sheet in this case has already been submitted. The petitioner is a government employee, working as Principal of the School, in question. The

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.46616 of 2019(2) dt.01-08-2019 2/2 allegation, made in the FIR is denied by the petitioner. It is further submitted that the petitioner is ready to deposit an amount of Rs. 25,000/- which shall be subject to final outcome of the case.

On behalf of the State, it is submitted that the petitioner is named in the Complaint Case/F.I.R.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the petitioner is directed to deposit an amount of Rs. 25,000/- which shall be subject to final outcome of the case. On doing so, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Supaul in connection with Pipra P.S.
