The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Nautan P.S. Case No.86 of 2021, registered for the offence punishable under Section 406 of the Indian Penal Code. The prosecution story, in brief, is that the petitioner demanded Rs.1,50,000/- from the informant for her sister's marriage and promised to return after selling sugarcane. When the informant demanded money from the petitioner, the petitioner gave two cheques, which got bounced due to insufficient balance.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. It is submitted that the petitioner has got no

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.

Taking into consideration the fact that the matter has been compromised between the parties, let petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (rupees twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Bettiah, West Champaran in connection with Nautan P.S.
