2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Puraini P.S. Case No. 223 of 2024 registered for the offence under Section 309(6) of the B.N.S., 2023.

3. As per the prosecution case, unknown criminals fired upon the informant and looted a sum of Rs. 2 lakhs. The petitioner has confessed his guilt and is also an accused in four similar cases.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. The petitioner is in custody since 29.11.2024.

5. Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this application for regular bail is hereby rejected.

8. The Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner.
