The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under sections 302, 307 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code, 27 of the Arms Act, 3⁄4 of the Explosive Substance Act, 17 Criminal Law Amendment Act and section 10 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. The case was lodged against unknown. It is alleged that 300-400 Maoists resorted to firing on the police camp killing four security persons and one driver on the spot. The petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. The name of the petitioner figured in the case in the confessional statement of co-accused.
