Let the defect(s), if any, be removed within a period of four weeks.

The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 353, 379, 189, 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 135 of the Electricity Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is a person with clean antecedent. The informant, Junior Electrical Engineer, alleges that on 24.02.2022, at about 05.20 p.m., on account of revenue collection and electricity disconnection work, a search was

It is further alleged that consumer Prakash Kumar (petitioner), Deepak Kumar and Umrawati Devi were having outstanding electricity bill as detailed in the FIR and they were instructed to deposit the outstanding bill in the revenue collection office to which they refused. Thereafter, from the same premises three other electricity connections were disconnected on the basis of their outstanding bill as detailed in the FIR. It is further alleged that after the said disconnection the petitioner along with other unknown persons with an intention to kill assaulted the informant and his team and tried to destroy the government documents and forcefully get the connection of electricity restored thus causing loss of Rs.

4,60,033/- to NBPDCL. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that without prejudice to his right presently he will deposit an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- within a period of six weeks from today and for the rest, the petitioner will contest. Learned counsel appearing for the Company opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.
