JUSTICE AJAY KUMAR TRIPATHI ORAL ORDER 09-11-2017 Obviously, the Vice Chancellor does not seem to take his job seriously or else a litigation would not have been created unnecessarily. It is a case where a representation was filed by the petitioner way back on 28.05.2016, which has not been acted upon as informed nor any counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the University as to what is the reason for not taking a decision or what is the reason as to why the relief the petitioner is looking for cannot be given to her. In view of the same, the writ application is disposed off with a direction upon the Vice Chancellor to decide Annexure-2, the representation within a period of eight weeks. He shall also

Patna High Court CWJC No.10091 of 2016(3) dt.09-11-2017 2/2 pay a cost of Rs.10,000/- to the petitioner for unnecessarily harassing her and keeping her litigation pending for more than a year and half from his own pocket and not from the funds of the University. It is the duty of the Vice Chancellor to review the situation as to why the litigations are not being attended regularly and affidavits are not filed and cases not made ready for adjudication. He will take appropriate action against the persons responsible.
