The petitioner is in custody since 12.06.2023 in connection with K. Nagar P.S. Case No. 84/2021 (Spl. Case No. 17/21) registered for the offence punishable under Sections 8/21/22(B)(C) N.D.P.S. Act.

As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is a member of a gang dealing with smuggling of narcotics substances.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case due to dirty politics. It is further submitted that the name of the petitioner surfaced on the basis of confessional statement of the coaccused which has no evidentiary value. The petitioner is not

However, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State vehemently opposed the bail application and submits that materials have come during investigation to connect the petitioner with the crime. In view of the aforementioned facts and circumstances, let the petitioner above named be released on bail after completing six months in custody, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, NDPS Act, Purnea, in connection with Spl. Case No. 17/21 arising out of K. Nagar P.S. Case No. 84/2021. The petitioner is directed to appear before the K. Nagar Police Station on the 1st Sunday of each month. (Sandeep Kumar, J) Saif/- U T
