JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) 18-07-2017 Learned counsel for the respondent inter alia contending that the Kotawa-Rajpur Road of district East Champaran at Motihari is in a pathetic condition and no steps has been taken for its repair and improvement and further contending that the road has become dangerous for public use. This petition seeking a mandamus for improving condition of the road, has been filed by the writ petitioner in public interest.

The respondents have filed a counter affidavit indicating that action has been taken for construction and repairing the damaged portion of the road. Keeping in view of aforesaid, we direct the respondents to ensure construction and repairing of the road within a period of six months from the receipt of certified copy of this order.

Patna High Court CWJC No.15360 of 2016 (6) dt.18-07-2017 2/2 aforesaid period, they are liberty to report before this court about action taken during the period of six months and seek extension of time for bona fide reason pointed out for extension, shall be considered.
