The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Mohammadpur P.S. Case No. 49 of 2021 dated 03.03.2021 instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act, 2018.

Approximately 131.250 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from the vehicle of the petitioner which he had been driving at the time of raid.

The petitioner is in custody since 04.03.2021 The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the accusation against him is false and prior to the lodging of this case, he was not made accused in any criminal case whatsoever.

No.59204 of 2021(2) dt.23-05-2022 2/2 Regard being had to the nature of offence and the period of custody of the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned District and Sessions Judge-II-cum SPL. Judge, Gopalganj in connection with Mohammadpur P.S. Case No. 49 of 2021.
