1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(A) A writ in the nature of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ/s, order/s direction/s quashing the following:
(i) The order dated 31.08.2015, whereby and whereunder, the Disciplinary Authority hold the petitioner guilty of charges mentioned in the charge sheet dated 12.04.2014 and imposed upon him the major penalty of reduction of salary by three stages in the time scale of pay in which the petitioner was then placed for a period till 31.12.2017 i.e. date of
Patna High Court CWJC No.17445 of 2021(2) dt.28-02-2024 2/3 his superannuation under Regulation 4(f) of PNB Officer Employees (D & A) Regulation, 1977.
(B) A writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ/s, order/s direction/s quashing the following reliefs:
(i) To direct the Respondent Authorities concerned for making payment of arrear of salary and pension after revising the basic pay of the petitioner along with all consequential benefits."

Though, the petitioner had filed an appeal dated 14.10.2015, which has also been acknowledged by the Chief Manager, PAD, Personnel Administration Division, HO, Punjab National Bank, New Delhi, however, it appears that on account of certain technicalities, the same has not yet been disposed off, hence the learned counsel for the petitioner prays that the Appellate Authority be directed to dispose off the aforesaid appeal dated 14.10.2015.

The learned counsel for the respondent-Bank submits that the appeal filed by the petitioner, which has been annexed as Annexure-8, to the present writ petition, would definitely be considered by the Appellate Authority and disposed off the within a stipulated time frame, as is directed by this Court.
4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the
Patna High Court CWJC No.17445 of 2021(2) dt.28-02-2024 3/3 case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the Appellate Authority to consider the aforesaid appeal dated 14.10.2015, filed by the petitioner and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
5. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
