JUSTICE HEMANT GUPTA) Date: 30-08-2016 Rejoinder to the counter affidavit has been filed in Court. The grievance of the petitioner is that an application for settlement of dispute, under the Bihar Settlement of Taxation Disputes Act, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the 2016 Act'), has been filed on 28.05.2016, but the same has not been decided. It is pointed out that earlier the petitioner filed an application for settlement of dispute under the Bihar Settlement of Taxation Disputes Act, 2015, which was declined on 27.05.2016, but

Mr. Vikash Kumar, learned counsel for the State states that such application is pending and shall be decided expeditiously in accordance with law.

In view of the said fact, no order is required in the present petition. However, respondents shall remain bound by the settlement in deciding the application of the petitioner expeditiously in accordance with law.
