Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned APP for the State.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Narpatganj P.S. Case No. 556 of 2020, Special Case No. 1084 of 2020, instituted for the offences under Section 30(a), 41 and 47 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Amendment Act, 2018. 643.680 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from a truck. So far as the petitioner is concerned, he is alleged to have been one of the persons who was loading the consignment of liquor on the said truck.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.59228 of 2021(2) dt.23-05-2022 2/2 he has been made accused in five cases of similar nature in the past but in all such cases, because of paucity of evidence, he has been granted bail.

In the present case, the petitioner has been in custody since 05.08.2021.

Regard being had to the afore-stated facts, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional District & Sessions Judge -I-cum-Special Judge, (Excise Act), Araria, in connection with Narpatganj P.S.
