Heard learned counsel for the parties.

This application for grant of regular bail arises out of Laukahi P.S. Case No. 208 of 2019 corresponding to G.R. No. 1635 of 2019 registered for the offence punishable under Section 394 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

The petitioner had earlier approached this Court for grant of regular bail which was rejected by an order dated 03.06.2020 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 16215 of 2020. This

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.8429 of 2021(5) dt.26-05-2021 2/2 application has been filed for renewing his application for regular bail.

According to the case of the prosecution, the petitioner had snatched a sum of Rs. 40,000/- from the informant and had shot at him causing firearm injury in his left thigh. Considering direct allegation of assault made by firearm leading to injury and the petitioner's criminal antecedent his application was earlier rejected. The petitioner has criminal antecedent, as is evident from paragraph 3 of the application. Considering the gravity of the offence and the petitioner's alleged involvement in other criminal cases, as noted above, I am not inclined to grant him privilege of regular bail for the present.

This application is accordingly rejected.
