The petitioner seeks bail in a case instituted for the offences under Sections 7(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

The prosecution allegation in short is that the accused person was caught red handed taking illegal gratification for favourable order.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 26.4.2019 and has got no criminal antecedent. There is no allegation of tampering of witnesses alleged against the petitioner. Charge-sheet has been

The procedure of trap has not been followed in the present case. It is further submitted that the petitioner is ready to deposit a sum of Rs. Two lakhs in the court below which shall be subject to the final disposal of the case.

On behalf of the State, it is submitted that the petitioner is named in the F.I.R..

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, on deposit of a sum of Rs. Two lakhs in the Court below which shall be subject to final disposal of the cas e , it is directed that the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Special Judge, Vigilance, 1st, Patna in connection with Special Case No. 16 of 2019 arising out of Vigilance P.S.
