Petitioner seeks bail in Manjhi P.S. Case No. 30 of 2017 for the offence punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition of Excise Act, 2016.

It is alleged that total 1200 pieces of Corex Syrup was recovered from the vehicle in which the petitioner was sitting as passenger. It is further alleged in the written report that this Corex Syrup has intoxicating items and the petitioner could not produce any valid and genuine document. The petitioner is said to be in custody since, 22.02.2017. The petitioner has also got no criminal antecedent as mentioned in paragraph no. 3 of this petition.

No.20849 of 2017 (2) dt.08-05-2017 2/2 Considering the above facts and circumstances, this petition for bail is allowed and the petitioner named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Manjhi P.S. Case No. 30 of 2017 to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Saran at Chapra, subject to the condition that both the bailors should be close relatives of the petitioner.
