The petitioners have filed this writ petition for a direction to the respondents to hand over the possession of the land to the petitioners.

Mr. Bhola Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that Plot No.152, area 39.20 acres of Khata No.308 situated in village Bisanpur, Plot No.266, area 9.40 acres of Khata No.304, Plot No.269, area 14.5 acres and plot No.270 are the subject matter of the disputes. The aforesaid land was originally belonged to one Pratap Narayan Chand. A ceiling proceeding was initiated and the aforesaid land was declared surplus. The petitioners were settled on the surplus land and red cards were issued but later on, members of the tribal community dispossessed the petitioners. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that a direction be issued to the authority to look into the matter and

Patna High Court CWJC No.4081 of 2017 (2) dt.11-05-2018 dispose of the petition of the petitioner within four months from the date of receipt of this order.

Having considered the facts aforesaid, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the Collector, Purnea to look into the grievances of the petitioner who shall file representation before him within two weeks and Collector thereupon shall dispose of the petition filed by the petitioners within three months thereafter.
