JUSTICE BIRENDRA KUMAR ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 18-08-2018 Heard learned counsel for the parties.

This application has been filed for a direction to the respondent authorities to pay the claimed amount in paragraph-1 of the writ application as compensation for the land of the petitioners acquired for a railway project under the provision of Section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989.

From the averments, it is apparent that the petitioners are not satisfied with the amount decided by the competent authority. Petitioners have remedy, under Sub-Section (6) of Section 20F of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.2407 of 2017 dt.18-08-2018 P2/ Railways Act, 1989, to ventilate their grievance before the Arbitrator appointed under the Act.

In view of the aforesaid statutory remedy, I am not inclined to entertain the prayer in this writ jurisdiction. Accordingly, it stands dismissed with liberty to the petitioners to move before the arbitrator to avail the aforesaid remedy.

With the aforesaid observation, this application stands disposed of.
