JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 08-05-2023 The present petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs :- "(i) For issuance or writ/ writs, order/ orders, direction/ directions in the nature of certiorari for setting aside the order dated 16.07.2022 contained in Memo no. 3679 whereby and whereunder the stamp vendor license of the petitioner has been cancelled without assigning any proper reason and without considering the show cause reply of the petitioner dated 06.10.2021.

(ii) For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing and commanding the

Patna High Court CWJC No.12785 of 2022(2) dt.08-05-2023 2/2 respondent authorities for restoring the stamp vendor license of the petitioner which was issued in the name of the petitioner vide order dated 20.06.1984 issued under the signature of Treasury Officer, Sasaram."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to challenge the order dated 16.07.2022, passed by the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram, by filing appropriate appeal before the Inspector General, Bihar, Patna. Liberty so sought, is granted. It is needless to state that in case, appropriate appeal is filed within a period of four weeks from today, the appellate authority shall decide the same on merits, without being impeded by the issue of limitation and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks, thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
