Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Sonbarsa Raj P. S. Case No. 100 of 2017 (Special Excise Case No. 287 of 2017), registered under Sections 272, 273/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30 (a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The allegation in brief is that 135 liters of Royal stag liquor was being carried away in the Sumo Victa vehicle by the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a driver of the vehicle and on query, he disclosed the

It is submitted that the petitioner was only doing his professional work and is not involved in the occurrence and the petitioner has clean antecedent and is in custody since 21.07.2017. Having considered the said facts and circumstances, the petitioner, Md. Ansul, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- ( Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special judge, Excise Act, Saharsa in connection with Sonbarsa Raj P.S.Case No. 100 of 2017.
