====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 20-09-2024 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State.

2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 504, 506, 385 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

3. As per prosecution case, on the alleged dateand time of occurrence, this petitioner along with other F.I.R. named accused persons abused informant and demanded Rs. 2 lacs as extortion and when informant refused, the accused persons made indiscriminate firing and threatened informant with dire consequences.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. There is no specific allegation of overt act against the petitioner. As a matter of fact, informant himself is Bahubali and local police is under

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.51537 of 2024(2) dt.20-09-2024 2/2 his influence and this false and concocted case has been lodged against petitioner with ulterior motive. Petitioner claims clean antecedent.

5. However, learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposed the bail application and submitted that there is specific accusation that this petitioner along with other accused persons demanded Rs. 2 lacs as extortion and threatened informant with dire consequences.

6. Considering the nature of accusation, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is refused. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) Navya/- U T
