2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking grant of annual increment.

It is further submitted that for redressal of his grievance, the petitioner had filed a representation dated 17.09.2024 before the Principal Secretary, Department of Rural Works, Government of Bihar, Patna, as contained in Annexure P-7. However, no action has been taken on the said representation till date. Learned counsel also submits that the petitioner is entitled to the said relief in light of the judgment dated 11.04.2023 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 2471 of 2023 arising out of SLP (C) No. 6185 of 2020 (The Director (Admn. and HR), KPTCL and Ors. vs. C. P. Mundinamani and Ors.).

Learned counsel for the State has raised a preliminary objection by submitting that in such matters, the State Government has framed the Bihar Government Servants Grievance Redressal Rules, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the "Rules, 2016"), which provides a statutory mechanism for redressal of such grievances.

5. In the aforesaid background, this Court directs the petitioner to file a complaint before the competent authority under the Rules, 2016, within 30 days from today. Upon receipt of such complaint, the concerned authority shall consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law, within the time

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
