JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 23-01-2018 This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent authority to pay the maturity amount to the petitioner with 9% interest of policy no. 514087444 dated 15.01.2005 and for issuance of any appropriate writ or writs, order or orders, direction or directions.
2. Learned counsel for the respondent-Life Insurance Corporation of India appears and produces a cheque bearing no. 771830 dated 06.12.2017 drawn on Axix Bank Limited for an amount of Rs. 1,81,688/- inclusive of interest, together with a calculation chart showing break-up of the total amount.
3. It is stated that the cheque would be handed over to the petitioner immediately upon the petitioner's furnishing the original policy bond, duly filled up form, a copy of Aadhar Card and PAN Card.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to submit the requisite documents within a period of one week hereof.

In the above circumstances, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent- Life Insurance Corporation of India to hand over the aforesaid cheque, which is being returned to the learned counsel for the respondent-LIC, to the petitioner without delay upon the petitioner's producing the requisite documents enumerated above.
