1. Heard the parties.

2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Manjhaulia P.S. Case No. 588/ 2021 dated 22.10.2021 registered for the offence(s) punishable under Section(s) 498A, 406 read with section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and under section(s) 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. Mr. S.K. Verma, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is father-in-law of the informant and in the F.I.R. there is no specific allegation against him regarding the alleged offences of cruelty and dowry demand. It is further submitted that petitioner is a 53 year old person and he has got fair and clean antecedent.

4. Mr. Anant Kumar-1, learned APP appearing for the State has opposed the bail prayer of the petitioner.

Having considered the submissions noted above and mainly the facts that petitioner is father-in-law of the informant and in the F.I.R. there is no specific allegation against him regarding the alleged offences of cruelty and dowry demand and is said to be 53 years old, in my opinion, it is a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, let the petitioner named-above, in the event of his arrest/surrender before the learned court below within a period of six weeks from today, be released on anticipatory bail in connection with Manjhaulia P.S. Case No. 588/ 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court concerned, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C. (Shailendra Singh, J) BKS/- U T
