Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Triveniganj PS Case No.142 of 1997 (G.R. Case No.692 of 1997), registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 452, 380, 323, 428 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code as well as under Section 27 of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that police submitted final form but cognizance was taken against the petitioner in the year 2000, though he moved anticipatory bail in the year 2002, the same was rejected and renewed the prayer in 2018, still charge has not been framed. It is a case of two decades ago and the petitioner was absconder for such a long period, so the prayer of bail of the petitioner, at this stage, is
