The petitioner seeks quashing of Clause v of Resolution No. 1846 dated 10.06.2010 which has been notified in Letter No. 5994 dated 31.12.2018 and the advertisement which has been issued inviting online applications for being considered for the post of Mahila Supervisor which limits the application from only such candidates who have completed 21 years of age on 1st of January, 2019.

3. The challenge is primarily on the ground that the petitioner completes 21 years of age on the date of filling up of the form but not on 1st of January, 2019.

4. The law with respect to fixation of cut off date is very clear. There does not appear to be any irrationality in fixing 1st of January, 2019 as the date when any desirous candidate for the post of Mahila Supervisor has to complete 21 years of age. Merely because the petitioner does not become 21 years of age on that date, that cannot be a ground for challenging the fixation of the cut off date, which is primarily in the domain of the executive.

5. No good ground has been made out by the petitioner for interfering with such cut off date fixed in the advertisement.

6. The petition stands dismissed.
