The petitioner is seeking regular bail in Simultalla P.S. Case No. 01 of 2017 registered for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 120(B), 121(a), 122, 124(a) of the Indian Penal Code, Sections 25(1-B)a/26 of the Arms Act, Sections 3/4 of Explosive Substance Act and Sections 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 of U.A.P. Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the name of this petitioner has transpired in the confessional statement of the co-accused, however, learned counsel for the State submits that this petitioner has got criminal antecedent inasmuch as six cases are standing against him and all such cases are of serious nature. It is further pointed out that there is no statement that the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.4977 of 2018 (2) dt.05-02-2018 2/2 petitioner is on bail in those cases.

Considering the facts and circumstances, particularly the criminal antecedent of this petitioner, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner in connection with Simultalla P.S. Case No. 01 of 2017.

The application is rejected.
