Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Sri Nagar (Pujaha) P.S. Case No.141 of 2017, registered under Section 364(A) of the Indian Penal Code.
Allegation in brief is that 31⁄2 years old grand daughter of the informant was kidnapped by motorcycle borne person and thereafter he made demand of Rs.6,00,000/- as ransom for her release.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has clean antecedent and he is in custody since 01.10.2017; whereas learned counsel for the State submits that when police reached at the place where the money was to be delivered then apprehended the petitioner along with the child
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.10012 of 2018(3) dt.29-03-2018 2/2 from a sugarcane field.
Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, nature of offence and evidence against the petitioner, the prayer of bail of the petitioner is rejected in connection with Sri Nagar (Pujaha) P.S. Case No.141 of 2017, pending in the court of learned CJM, Bettiah, West Champaran with a direction to the trial court to expedite the trial.
