2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of anticipatory bail in connection with Shekhopur Sarai P.S. Case No. 88 of 2026 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 126 (2), 115 (2), 118 (1), 109 (1), 351 (2), 352, 303 (2), 3(5) of the B.N.S.

3. The case of the prosecution, in short, is that on 12.05.2026, FIR named accused persons including the petitioner armed with deadly weapons came to the shop of informant and assaulted the informant and his family members due to which they sustained serious injuries and fell unconscious. It is alleged against the petitioner that he has assaulted his brother, namely,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.49489 of 2026(2) dt.22-07-2026 2/3 Satyam Kumar as a result of which he got fracture in his right hand. It is further alleged that accused persons took away Rs. 20,000/- from the shop of the informant and demanded Rs. 2,00,000/- as extortion money.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is quite innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case due to previous land dispute. Allegedly, as per the FIR, petitioner and co-accused Devendra Singh assaulted to informant's brother Satyam Kumar, but it is mentioned in the impugned order that he has received two injuries, one is lacerated wound, which is simple in nature and another is pain and swelling in his right hand, caused by hard and blunt object. Allegation of demanding ransom is ornamental in nature and the reason has not been given. General and omnibus allegation has been attributed against the petitioner.

5. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

6. Keeping in view the aforesaid facts and considering the above facts, let the petitioner, above named, be released on anticipatory bail in the event of arrest or surrender within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order, on

Case No. 88 of 2026 subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of BNSS.
