In this case, the petitioner is seeking bail in connection with Complaint Case No. C1-1229/2012 registered for offence under section 498 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Allegation has been made against the petitioner to have entered into marriage with the complainant and later on, started torture to her that led to filing of this criminal case. The counsel for the petitioner has pointed out that in the court below even after the notice, the complainant did not turn up. The petitioner is in jail since 7th September 2015.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.49459 of 2015 (2) dt.05-11-2015 2/2 Looking to the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on his furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sitamarhi in connection with Complaint Case No. C1-1229/2012.
