2. The Petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Katra P.S. Case No. 124 of 2026 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act.
3. As per the prosecution case, on 12.05.2026, during a routine vehicle check, police received a secret information about a person transporting illicit liquor on a speeding motorcycle towards the bamboo bridge over the Baghmati River. Police proceeded to the location and intercepted the suspects motorcycle. Upon noticing the police, the rider abandoned the motorcycle resulted in the recovery of 7.125 liters of foreign liquor.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submits that

The counsel further submits that no liquor has been recovered from his conscious possession. The learned counsel for the petitioner also submits that the name of the petitioner has been added on suspicion because there is one previous case against the petitioner.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.
6. Having heard the parties, taking into account the fact that prima facie the name of the petitioner added merely on suspicion, let the above named petitioner, in the event of his arrest/surrender within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court concerned, in connection with Katra P.S. Case No. 124 of 2026, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the (B.N.S.S.)
7. This application stands allowed.
