The petitioner has not been paid the arrears of the difference of salary, amounting to Rs. 26,172/-, despite his having superannuated in the year 2012.

A representation also was made by the petitioner before the Superintendent of Police, Arwal seeking a direction for such payment along with the interest which is admissible to him for such delayed payment. But, such

Patna High Court CWJC No.14594 of 2019(2) dt.23-07-2019 2/2 application has not yet been disposed off.

The petitioner, under the aforesaid circumstances, is directed to make a fresh representation before the Superintendent of Police, Arwal (Respondent No. 6) within a period of four weeks, who, on receipt of such representation, shall have the facts verified and would pass / caused to be passed an order in accordance with law, within a reasonable period of time. If the claim of the petitioner is found to be tenable, necessary directions be issued for payment of the dues of the petitioner to which he is entitled. The concerned respondent shall also consider the feasibility of granting interest to him for such delayed payment.

With the aforesaid observation / direction, this petition stands disposed off.
