The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per the prosecution case, the petitioner was caught with 234.8 litres of liquor.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 20.4.2022 (Annexure-1) giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail on completing one year in custody. The petitioner is in custody since 17.8.2021 and undertakes to cooperate in the trial.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.49833 of 2022(2) dt.28-09-2022 2/2 taking into consideration the allegation in the FIR, liberty granted to the petitioner in the earlier order of rejection dated 20.4.2022 and the petitioner having remained in custody for more than one year, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Manjhagarh P.S. Case no. 235 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Addl. District & Sessions Judge II, Gopalganj. (Partha Sarthy, J) Spd/- U T
