Mr. APP ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE BIRENDRA KUMAR ORAL ORDER 22-06-2021 Heard the parties in virtual Court proceeding. The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offences punishable under Sections 304B/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code in connection with Lalganj P.S. Case No. 208 of 2018.
The petitioner is husband of the victim of dowry death. Allegation is of demand of dowry and torture for the same for non-fulfillment of the dowry demand. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the informant has filed a compromise petition as the informant came to know later on that the victim died of illness. Considering the nature of allegation and the fact that the offence is not compoundable, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail for the present. Hence, the prayer for bail
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.6855 of 2021(3) dt.22-06-2021 2/2 is refused. If the parties have settled their dispute there is no reason that the trial would not conclude at the earliest if the parties cooperate with the trial.
