The petitioner is in custody since 23.09.2017 in connection Jankinangar P.S. Case No. 167/2017 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 302/120B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's name has been dragged only on suspicion as there has been a dispute between the petitioner and the husband of the informant with regard to certain properties. It is further submitted that only on the basis of conjecture and surmises, the name of the petitioner has been drawn in.

Considering the nature of allegations made and admittedly the petitioner not being present at the place of

No.5781 of 2018 (2) dt.01-02-2018 2/2 occurrence, let the petitioner above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purnea, in connection with Jankinagar P.S. Case No. 167/2017.
