Petitioner has prayed for the following relief: "For issuance of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ/order/direction commanding the respondents to appoint Chief Information Commissioner and seven more Information Commissioners forthwith in Bihar State Information Commission, Respondent No.2."

From the supplementary counter affidavit dated 28.01.2020, filed by the Under Secretary, General Administrative Department, Bihar, Patna, we notice that now

Patna High Court CWJC No.14649 of 2019(4) dt.31-01-2020 2/2 steps for filling up the post of State Chief Information Commissioner, as stipulated under the provisions of Right to Information Act, 2005, stands initiated. Advertisement dated 21st January, 2020 also stands issued, which is evident from the averments made in Paragraph 9 of the affidavit, reproduced herein under:- "9. That it is stated that the Advertisement for appointment of the Chief Information Commissioner for the State Information Commission has been published in the Hindustan/Dainik Jagran & The Times of India news papers as well on 21st January, 2020."
