At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondent- State has submitted by referring to paragraph no. 6 of the counter affidavit, filed in the present case, that an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 4.5 lacs has already been paid to the petitioner vide cheque dated 08.05.2023, in lieu of death of his wife on account of Covid-19 infection.
