The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Jokihat P.S. case No. 283 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Section 295, 295A, 153A, 120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 3⁄4 of Bihar Preservation & Improvement of Animal Act, 1955.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that four persons are alleged to have preparing cow meat but the informant is not an eye witness of the occurrence. Md. Alam has already been granted anticipatory bail vide order passed in Cr. Misc. No. 61764 of 2017 by a co-ordinate bench of this court. Two other persons, namely, Md. Kalam and Shamshad have been granted regular bail.

Alam, who has already been granted anticipatory bail, the petitioner above named in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Araria in connection with Jokihat P.S. case No. 283 of 2017, subject to conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
