2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Sherghati P.S. Case No. 924 of 2024 for the offence under Sections 341,323 and 354-B of the Indian Penal Code lodged on 23.08.2023 by the informant, Nirmala Devi.

3. As per the prosecution story, the informant alleged that the petitioner came and after outraging her modesty tried to rape her. This followed the F.I.R.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that they are agnates and as such the exaggerated F.I.R. only to implicate him.

5. Learned APP opposes the prayer submitting that the lady has alleged outraging of modesty and attempt to rape and as such the anticipatory bail may not be extended to him.

6. Taking into account the allegations as also the submission, it would be appropriate that the petitioner surrenders and seek bail.

7. The anticipatory bail stands rejected.

8. If the petitioner surrenders within four weeks from today, the concerned court shall take up the matter and dispose it of it of preferably on the same day.
