JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 16-05-2018 Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court vide order dated 24.07.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 29728 of 2017 with a direction to expedite the trial. Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner and nothing specific has been attributed against the petitioner and he is in custody since 18.04.2017 and after framing of charge, out of five witnesses, four has been examined and the victim has not supported the prosecution case.

Learned A.P.P. opposed the prayer for bail.

In such view of the matter, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage and it is accordingly rejected.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.27687 of 2018 (2) dt.16-05-2018 2/2 H However, since the petitioner is in custody since 18.04.2017 and accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected with a direction to the learned trial Court to expedite the trial so as to consider it as early as possible.

With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
