JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 14-03-2019 Having regard to the limited jurisdiction of the contempt court, particularly, in view of the judgment of the Apex Court in the case of Union of India and Others Vs. Subedar Devassy PV, reported in (2006) 1 SCC 613 reiterated in the case of Sudhir Vasudeva, Chairman and MD, Natural Gas Corporation Limited and Others Vs. M. George Ravishekaran and Others reported in (2014) 3 SCC 373, the Court is not inclined to widen the scope of contempt jurisdiction and proceed any further in the instant case.

In view of the above, the Court is not inclined to issue any direction to the authorities. While disposing the writ

Patna High Court MJC No.2869 of 2017(3) dt.14-03-2019 2/2 application as the writ court has observed the respondents has to take appropriate step in accordance with law an appropriate application. The aforesaid observation is a wish of the Court that the law enforcing agency has to take care of the obligation in accordance with law and as such no more direction is required in the present application. However, liberty shall be available to the petitioner to approach the appropriate authority for appropriate remedy in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid liberty, the application stands disposed of.
