JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 22-08-2025 Heard Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner; Mr./Surendra Prasad Singh, learned APP for the State and Mrs. Y. Madhavi, learned counsel for the OP No.2.

2. The present application has been filed for modification of the order dated 15.05.2025 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 30248 of 2025.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and O.P. No.2, inform that it is the Assistant Electric Engineer, Electric Supply Sub-Division, Lakhisarai, who is deliberately not accepting the compounding amount as assessed

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.50110 of 2025(3) dt.22-08-2025 2/2 by him amounting to Rs.3,73,301/-.

4. In that situation, the petitioner is directed to furnish the said amount before the Assistant Electric Engineer, Electric Supply Sub-Division, Lakhisarai for which, Mrs. Madhvi will forthwith telephonically inform him/her and the petitioner also owes the responsibility to inform his client forthwith today, so that the amount can be deposited by him within a period of two weeks and the petitioner may be released on pre-arrest bail.

5. In case the Assistant Electric Engineer, Electric Supply Sub-Division, Lakhisarai does not accept the compounding amount, the petitioner would avail appropriate remedy in accordance with law.

6. Further, period to surrender before the learned District Court, as prayed for, is extended by two weeks.

7. The order dated 15.05.2025 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 30248 of 2025 is modified to the extent as indicated above. The other parts of the order shall remain intact.

8. Accordingly, the modification application stands disposed of.
