The petitioner is in custody since 12.02.2018 in connection with Chapra P.S. Case No. 75 of 2018 for the offence registered under Sections 413/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's name has surfaced on the basis of the confessional statement made by co-accused, namely, Babloo Singh before the police, which has no evidentiary value. It is further submitted that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent.
