JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH) Date: 20-01-2016 The petitioner in the present application, in the nature of public interest litigation, raises issues pertaining to irregularities committed in execution of Mid-day Meal Scheme distribution of dress materials and disbursement of scholarship to the students of upgraded Middle School, Beldha under Block-Warsaliganj, Nawadah District.
A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondent
No.3, District Programme Officer, Mid-day Meal Scheme, Nawada, stating therein that upon enquiry certain irregularities committed by the Headmistress Incharge of the School have been detected whereafter a departmental proceeding has been initiated against her and she has been put under suspension.
In view of the stand taken by the State of Bihar in the counter affidavit as noted above, which shows that action has already been initiated, we close the present proceeding. The petitioners shall be, at the same time, at liberty to take recourse to appropriate provisions of law as may be permissible to him in this connection.
This disposes of this application.
