The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Kanhauli P.S. Case No. 96 of 2021 instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.

A tempo vehicle was found to be loaded with 444.37 litres of liquor. On the presumption that the petitioner was involved in the transportation of liquor, he

The petitioner is in custody since 12.07.2021. The petitioner has been made accused in one case of similar nature in the past but in the aforesaid case, he is on bail.

Considering the nature of accusation and the period of custody of the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail-bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.D.J.-IICum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Sitamarhi in connection with Kanhauli P.S. Case No. 96 of 2021.

The application stands allowed.
