1. The limited prayer, made by the petitioner, in the present writ petition is to direct the appellate authority to dispose off the appeal, filed on 29.04.2010, before the respondent no.03 i.e. the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Bihar, Patna.

2. The learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid appeal has not yet been disposed off, a decision shall be taken thereon, expeditiously.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the appellate authority to dispose off the aforesaid appeal, filed by the petitioner, in case

Patna High Court CWJC No.11717 of 2023(2) dt.02-01-2024 2/2 the same has not yet been disposed off, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
