2. State counsel accept notice for respondents.

3. Petitioner's counsel is hereby directed to furnish copy of the petition to the State counsel.

4. In the instant petition, petitioner has prayed for following reliefs:

That this writ petition is being filed by the petitioner for issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of writ of mandamus directing/commanding the respondents to pay the dearness allowance to the petitioner from 01.02.2008 to 31.12.2015 at revised rate in accordance with Six Pay Commission along with statutory interest.

The petitioner further prays to pass such other order/orders, direction/directions as your Lordships may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case."

5. Aforesaid relief is supported by legal notice dated 05.03.2018 and 21.03.2020, vide Annexure 6 and 7 respectively.

6. Therefore, the concerned respondent is hereby directed to decide the legal notice (stated supra) within a period of three months from the date of receipt of this order in passing speaking order as to whether petitioner is entitled to relief sought in the representation read with the contents of the legal notice.

7. With the aforesaid observations, the instant petition stands disposed of.
